UG Contract Integration Specialist - RoW

Position Description

The Barrick RoW Team are seeking to recruit an UG Contract Integration Specialist - RoW.

The UG Contract Integration Specialist - RoW is responsible for providing regional oversight, governance and operational support for the integration and performance of underground mining contractors across RoW operations. The role partners closely with site leadership, supply chain, commercial, legal, safety, technical services and contractor management teams to ensure contractor mobilisation, onboarding, contract execution, compliance, productivity and dispute resolution are aligned to Barrick standards, operating requirements and regional business priorities.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Actively encourage, motivate and demonstrate a culture of safety leadership.
  • Provide regional governance and oversight of underground contractors across RoW, ensuring consistent contractor management practices across multiple sites and jurisdictions.
  • Lead and support contractor mobilisation, onboarding and integration activities, including site readiness, induction, systems access, reporting routines, interface management and handover requirements.
  • Partner with supply chain, commercial, legal and technical teams to provide operational input into underground contractor tendering, contract development, scopes of work, key performance indicators and service level expectations.
  • Monitor contractor performance against agreed safety, productivity, cost, compliance, schedule and quality indicators, and support corrective action plans where performance gaps are identified.
  • Complete audits and assurance reviews on site compliance with underground contractor requirements, company policies, contractual obligations and regulatory expectations.
  • Facilitate effective integration between contractors and site stakeholders, including underground operations, engineering, maintenance, geology, technical services, HSE, finance and human resources teams.
  • Provide regional support on contractor claims, variations, performance disputes and issue resolution, ensuring matters are managed commercially, operationally and in line with governance requirements.
  • Share lessons learned, leading practices and improvement opportunities across RoW operations to support standardisation and continuous improvement in underground contractor integration.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.
  • Postgraduate qualification, contract management certification or project management certification would be advantageous.

Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years' relevant experience in mechanised underground mining operations, including direct exposure to underground contractor management, mobilisation, integration or performance oversight.
  • Strong understanding of underground mining methods, contractor operating models, mine planning interfaces, production delivery, maintenance support and site execution requirements.
  • Experience working across multiple sites, regions or jurisdictions.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply commercial agreements, contract scopes, KPIs, service levels, change management processes and contractor performance reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively across site, regional, functional and contractor teams.
  • Sound knowledge of contractor safety management, operational risk controls, compliance assurance and continuous improvement practices in underground mining environments.
