About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • Degree qualification in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering or related discipline
  • Previous experience in underground hard rock mining or major projects
  • Strong understanding of underground mining methods and development activities
  • Sound knowledge of project controls, scheduling and cost management
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A proactive approach to safety and risk management
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence

About the Role

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Engineer will provide technical, operational and project support to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of underground development activities. You will work closely with site leadership and operational teams to drive productivity, maintain compliance and support successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of underground development activities
  • Prepare and manage project schedules, budgets and cost tracking
  • Monitor project performance and productivity against targets
  • Develop work packs, project documentation and technical reports
  • Coordinate labour, equipment and material requirements
  • Ensure compliance with site safety systems and statutory obligations
  • Support daily, weekly and monthly planning processes
  • Liaise with clients, site personnel and subcontractors as required
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Assist with forecasting, progress claims and contract administration
