About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

The primary purpose of the role is to manage both incoming and outgoing calls at a major hospital, as well as perform paging of emergency groups e.g. cardiac arrest and trauma groups. This role also requires to perform routine clerical duties, provide an effective, efficient, timely and courteous service to patients, visitors, the public and staff.

Ideal Candidate

  • Able to work on a 24/7 rotating roster, demonstrating a flexible work attitude.
  • Demonstrated experience in the operation of hospital switchboards and paging systems.
  • Has experience assisting the public, staff and clients in a high volume environment with the ability to provide assistance in a polite, clear, well-spoken and calm manner in all circumstances.
