Join our Team About this opportunity Ericsson is seeking a highly skilled MS Core Cloud Specialist - Packet Core to join our team in Sydney, NSW. This senior role requires deep expertise in Ericsson PS Core platforms and Amdocs PCF/PCRF to manage and evolve Packet Core network infrastructure across Australian Data Centers. What you will do Operate and maintain Ericsson PS Core nodes (vSGSNMME, vCGSNMME, vCSGNEPG, Consumer/Corporate vEPG, LTE-CA, DNS, Native WMG) across Sydney Data Centers Manage and maintain Amdocs PCF (N7/N15/N28) and PCRF (Gx/Gy/Gz) nodes for policy and charging Perform fault management, incident resolution, and root-cause analysis for PS Core outages Execute software upgrades, patch management, and capacity expansions on Ericsson/Amdocs platforms Monitor network KPIs using Grafana, Kalix, and Ericsson ENM; resolve degradations proactively Perform configuration management and provisioning using Ericsson ENM and OneFM Develop and review MOPs for change management and maintenance windows Collaborate with IMS, Fixed Voice, VAS, and NOC teams on cross-domain incidents Provide Level 3 support and vendor TAC escalation management Maintain accurate network documentation and knowledge-base articles You will bring Education and experience Education: Bachelor's in Telecom, Electronics, Computer Science or equivalent Experience: 15+ years PS Core network engineering - hands-on Ericsson platforms Mandatory technical skills Deep expertise in Ericsson vSGSN, vCGSN, vEPG, LTE-CA Strong hands-on experience with Amdocs PCF/PCRF (PCF N7/N15/N28; PCRF Gx/Gy/Gz) Tool knowledge Grafana Kalix Ericsson ENM OneFM ITSM / ServiceNow Unix / Linux CLI Protocol and technology knowledge Diameter GTP-C / GTP-U PFCP S1-MME HTTP/2 (5G) 5G NAS RADIUS IPv4 / IPv6 QoS / 5QI SCTP Node types and platforms Ericsson - vSGSNMME: Serving GPRS Support Node / Mobility Management Entity - 2G/3G/4G attach and session management Ericsson - vCGSNMME: Combined GGSN/PGW - packet gateway, bearer management, APN routing Ericsson - vCSGNEPG: Cloud Smart GGSN/EPG - EPC gateway functions, VoLTE bearer support Ericsson - Consumer/Corporate vEPG: Evolved Packet Gateway - consumer and corporate APN separation Ericsson - LTE-CA: LTE Charging Aggregator - offline charging, CDR generation and mediation Ericsson - DNS (Gn/Gp): Domain Name System for GPRS inter-PLMN routing and APN resolution Ericsson - Native WMG: Wireless Mediation Gateway - mediation and routing of charging records Amdocs - PCF: Policy Control Function (N7/N15/N28) - 5G policy rules and QoS control Amdocs - PCRF: Policy & Charging Rules Function (Gx/Gy/Gz) - 4G policy and online/offline charging Additional advantages and requirements Added advantage: Good understanding of 5G Technology and PS Core KPIs, with ability to interpret and act on packet core performance degradation trends Right to Work: Full right to work in Australia; Sydney-based or relocating Why join Ericsson?At Ericsson, youll have an outstanding opportunity.
