Bunbury Gardens Care Community is located in the heart of WA’s south-western coastal region, our welcoming and light-filled Care Community features landscaped outdoor living areas and farmyard gardens designed for stimulation and reminiscence. Our 68 bed Care Community has a warm community feel, with many residents having lived and worked in the local region for decades. Our temperate climate is perfect for spending time outdoors socialising or enjoying moments of quiet reflection.

About the Role

  • $29.98 base rate + Penalty rates for weekends and public holidays, plus 12% superannuation.
  • Permanent Part-Time opportunities

As a General Services Officer, you will play an important part in creating a welcoming home for residents, families and visitors. You will assist with meal service, maintain clean and comfortable living spaces, support laundry processes and contribute to a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation, meal plating, dining room setup and meal service.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness across resident rooms, common areas and service areas.
  • Support laundry services, including collection, washing, folding and distribution of personal clothing.
  • Follow food safety, infection control, manual handling and workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Build respectful relationships with residents, families, visitors and team members.
  • Report maintenance, safety or wellbeing concerns to the appropriate team member.
  • Contribute to a warm, supportive and person-centred aged care environment.

About You

  • You have strong communication skills and a friendly, respectful manner.
  • You can work both independently and as part of a team.
  • You are willing to work across catering, cleaning and laundry duties as required.
  • Previous experience in aged care, hospitality, cleaning, catering or laundry is desirable but not essential.
  • Completion of required pre-employment checks and mandatory training.
  • A passion for helping people and making a difference in your community.
  • Reliability and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to complete pre-employment medical, National Police Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
