About the role: As our Civil Supervisor based at our Gladstone depot, you'll have the opportunity to lead and support a dedicated team of Track Workers and Road Patrollers, coordinating day-to-day maintenance operations, crew planning and resourcing while providing strong frontline leadership. Working across 200km of track throughout the Central Queensland Coal Network (CQCN), you'll join a high-performing team recognised for its commitment to safety, teamwork and delivering quality outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading people, building positive team cultures and helping others succeed
Leadership and Support for multidisciplinary teams, to achieve the business targets, due dates and quality standards ensuring results meet the required business priorities and customer's expectations.
Track rosters, on time performance, safety and deliverables against benchmarks and standards of performance.
Provide daily management and support to team members by reviewing leave, conducting discipline, investigating and managing performance, undertaking risk management and conducting job safety analysis
Provide advice, coaching and support to direct reports to achieve performance objectives, promote high performance teams and support continuous improvement activities

Whether your background is in rail, mining, construction, logistics, manufacturing or another heavy industry, you'll bring a strong commitment to safety, the ability to build positive team cultures and a passion for supporting people to perform at their best. Experience working in high-risk environments will be highly regarded, and those with rail and/or rollingstock exposure are encouraged to apply.
High level of skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification, minor repairs and the carrying out of preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock or similar equipment.
High level of skill in monitoring and implementing service delivery plans to achieve operational targets and customer service within a major logistics business.
Proven track record in building and sustaining positive team and safety culture, with the ability to lead effectively with both internal and external facing roles;
