Financial Accountant - 14 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are seeking a CA-qualified Financial Accountant to join our team on a 14-month maternity leave contract. Reporting to the Finance Team Lead and working as part of the ANZ Financial Reporting team, you will play a key role in supporting the financial reporting, tax compliance, and banking operations of BRP APAC. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your professional qualification in a collaborative and dynamic environment, gaining broad exposure across finance functions while working with industry-leading systems and contributing to a high-performing team.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

EOM duties

  • Participate in EOM closures for most BRP APAC regions.

  • Prepare monthly / quarterly / and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards

  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations

General Transactions

  • Banking Administration

  • In charge of company expense claims process via Concur

  • Coordinate with offshore SSC for any transactional inquiries

  • Maintaining Lease Accounting register

Compliance

  • Prepare stand alone financial statements based on AASB standard

  • In charge of FBT lodgements

  • Support ANZ tax lodgements

  • Support monthly Payroll tax lodgements

Audit and Risk Management

  • Support Reporting Manager for all internal and external audit requirements

  • Support Reporting Manager for all Risk Management initiative and practices

System Requirements

  • SAP, Concur, Blackline past working experiences will help you to succeed.

  • Snowflake, SQL, IBM Controller will help you to excel.

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Tertiary graduated in Practicing Accounting or Finance with genuine career interest in this area

  • Chartered Accountant recently fully qualified or in the final stage

  • Integrity and Honesty are critical to the success of this role

  • Continuous development mindset

  • Bilingual will be highly preferred (French, Japanese etc)

  • Previous exposure to wholesale distribution, automotive industry ideal.
