Your Role

As Chef de Partie, you'll take ownership of a designated section and play a key role in delivering high-end cuisine aligned with qualia's luxury standards. Working under the guidance of the Head and Sous Chefs, you'll be responsible for precision, consistency, and creativity in every dish - whether a la carte or degustation.

Where You'll Make an Impact

  • Oversee and manage a kitchen section during service
  • Work closely with Sous and Head Chefs to deliver daily menus
  • Mentor and assist in training Commis and Demi Chefs
  • Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness protocols
  • Assist with inventory, prep lists, and section organisation
  • Participate in special event prep and service where required

What We're Looking For

You are a detail-focused, career-driven chef with solid technical ability and a love for contemporary Australian cuisine. You take pride in your work, thrive under pressure, and are committed to contributing to a high-performance team.

To Be Successful, You Will Need:

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Essential)
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Demi Chef
  • Proven experience running your own section in a premium or high-volume venue
  • Passion for seafood and an understanding of whole-fish and sustainable cookery
  • Strong organisational and mentoring skills
  • Ability to work varied shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and events
  • Valid working rights in Australia
  • Manual open driver's licence (preferred)
