An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and organised Sales Executive to join our team in a part-time capacity. This role will be based at Peppers Seaport while also providing support to Peppers Silo Hotel. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in driving corporate and events business, nurturing client relationships and delivering exceptional conferencing and event experiences.

Purpose

As a Sales Executive, you will be a key ambassador for the hotels, supporting the growth of corporate, conference and events business across both properties. You will assist with sales activities, business development initiatives and event coordination, helping to create meaningful client relationships while delivering seamless experiences from enquiry through to event delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, conference organisers and event stakeholders.
  • Manage sales enquiries, pipeline activity and client follow-up to maximise conversion and revenue outcomes.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and account development activities.
  • Support the planning and coordination of conferences, meetings and events, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional client experiences.
  • Manage a small portfolio of corporate and agency accounts while supporting account reviews, rate negotiations and retention activities.
  • Coordinate and host client site inspections and familiarisations across both properties.
  • Maintain accurate client records, sales activities, reporting and opportunities within CRM systems.
  • Represent the hotels professionally at networking events, industry functions and client meetings when required.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in hotel sales, conference & events, reservations or hospitality operations is highly regarded.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with a genuine passion for customer service and creating memorable experiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using hotel PMS, CRM or event management systems is highly regarded.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Confident working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • A proactive and commercially minded approach with a willingness to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the Tasmanian corporate, tourism or events market will be highly regarded.
