About the role

Tweed Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) to lead our Orthopaedic Surgery Unit (A4 Ward 2). You will provide strong clinical and operational leadership, overseeing nursing staff, coordinating high-quality patient care and supporting effective collaboration across the multidisciplinary team.

This 24-bed unit provides care for elective surgical and orthopaedic trauma patients and includes an eight-bed high-volume surgical unit for the post-operative care of general surgical patients. The experienced nursing team provides comprehensive post-operative care, including pain management, wound care and nutritional support, with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Pharmacists contributing to a collaborative multidisciplinary approach.
