Join a high-impact Australian Government digital transformation project focused on replacing a legacy post-market medical device monitoring system. We are seeking an experienced SFIA Level 4 or Level 5 Business Analyst to support the discovery and alpha phases of the project. You will help define a modern solution capable of managing increasing regulatory reporting volumes and evolving operational requirements. The role Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will lead business analysis and requirements activities across discovery and alpha. You will engage with business stakeholders, operational teams, technical specialists and delivery resources to translate business, user, regulatory and technical needs into viable solution options. Key responsibilities Assess current-state business processes, user needs and operational pain points. Review, refine, prioritise and document business, user and operational requirements. Develop current-state and target-state process maps to Level 3. Maintain clear requirements traceability throughout discovery and alpha. Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews and requirements-gathering sessions. Contribute to market scans and the assessment of technology and solution options. Identify business impacts, risks, dependencies and integration considerations. Support prototype evaluation and alpha validation activities. Contribute to the preferred solution recommendation, implementation roadmap, indicative costings and decision papers. Collaborate with human-centred design, architecture, project management and subject-matter experts. What you will bring Demonstrated Business Analyst experience operating at SFIA Level 4 or Level 5. Experience delivering business analysis across discovery and alpha activities. Strong requirements elicitation, documentation, prioritisation and traceability skills. Experience designing current-state and target-state processes, including Level 3 process mapping. Proven workshop facilitation and stakeholder-engagement capabilities. Experience identifying business impacts, risks, dependencies and integration requirements. Ability to translate complex business, user, regulatory and technical needs into clear requirements and practical solution options. Experience contributing to options assessments, solution evaluations, implementation roadmaps and decision papers. Strong analytical, written communication and stakeholder-management skills. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary delivery environment. Current Baseline Security Clearance required.
