About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to lead our team at our Melbourne CBD Clinic on a full-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive leader who enjoys building high-performing teams, driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional client experiences in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Reporting directly to the Business Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services across Occupational Health, GP and Travel while supporting business growth, operational efficiency and outstanding customer service.
Working closely with clinicians, administration staff and key stakeholders, you will foster a positive team culture, champion continuous improvement and ensure the clinic operates safely, efficiently and in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the clinic to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality service delivery.
- Providing leadership, coaching and support to clinical and administrative team members to build a positive, engaged and high-performing workplace.
- Partnering with doctors and healthcare professionals to coordinate the effective delivery of clinical services.
- Managing clinic performance, including financial reporting, budgeting, resource planning and operational targets.
- Overseeing recruitment, onboarding, rostering, training and performance management of clinic staff.
- Delivering exceptional customer service while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, patients and key stakeholders.
- Identifying and supporting business development opportunities, with a focus on growing occupational health services.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, accreditation standards, company policies and quality improvement initiatives.
- Monitoring clinic resources, facilities and equipment to support safe and efficient operations.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and workplace safety.
About You
The successful candidate will be an experienced healthcare leader who is passionate about developing people, delivering exceptional service and achieving positive business outcomes.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a Practice Manager or similar leadership role within the healthcare industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and develop multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
- Strong operational, financial and business management skills.
- A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering exceptional client and patient experiences.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office applications.
- Current CPR Certification and Working With Children Check, or be willing to obtain these (please speak to us if you need support in obtaining certification)
Desirable
- Experience in General Practice, Occupational Health or a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Experience using medical practice management software.
- Experience supporting business development and client relationship management.
- Knowledge of healthcare accreditation requirements and continuous quality improvement processes.
