Underwriter
About the Role
This is a great step-up opportunity for an underwriter who wants to build specialist expertise in Cyber and Technology. You'll be responsible for underwriting new and renewal Cyber and Technology accounts in line with Chubb guidelines, while developing business across an allocated panel of corporate brokers within your delegated authority.
This role suits someone with solid underwriting experience who is commercially minded, relationship-focused and eager to develop their skills in a growing specialty line. We'll provide the training and support to help you build your cyber and technology knowledge, so you can grow into the role and make a real impact.
You'll work closely with colleagues across the Cyber and Technology Practice, using your judgement, initiative and tenacity to identify target accounts, strengthen broker relationships and deliver profitable growth.
In this role, you will:
- Underwrite new and renewal Cyber and Technology accounts in line with Chubb guidelines.
- Manage underwriting profitability and growth across your allocated broker panel.
- Build strong relationships with brokers, producers and insureds to support business growth.
- Develop broker and account plans, identify new opportunities and support renewal and new business activity.
What you'll bring to the role
- Underwriting experience in an intermediated market
- Commercial judgement, risk assessment and negotiation skills.
- Excellent relationship-building, communication and customer service skills.
- A proactive, adaptable approach and a genuine interest in developing specialist Cyber and Technology expertise.
