We are currently seeking a Senior HR Advisor join the Logan Gold Coast Faster Rail (LGCFR) Project, a transformative rail infrastructure program that will redefine passenger rail travel between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

Delivered by the ActivUs Alliance, this landmark project will expand the rail corridor from two to four tracks between Kuraby and Beenleigh, while delivering major station upgrades, enhanced signalling systems and improved network capacity for South East Queensland.

The Opportunity

This role will be based at Fortitude Valley and will move to Beenleigh so the ability to work across both location is required. The purpose of this role is to contribute to the achievement of the Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project plans and strategy by delivering HR support and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

Support the project leaders in improving project performance through people

Simplify tools and processes for HR across the project

Support managers to effectively lead teams through change, performance management, and employee relations matters.

Help create and support innovation and organisational change

Timely and accurate HR reporting to support effective decision making within the project

Assist the project leaders in managing costs and delivering on approved budgets

Implement HR initiatives to support the delivery of the relevant Project Management Plans (where relevant)

Identify resource and skill gaps, develop and implement strategies to bridge gaps

Administration of performance and rewards initiatives across the project, including promotions, remuneration changes

Support the business through the implementation of organisational change as it impacts employees

Provide guidance and advice on legislative changes and interpretation of business standards

Internal recruitment aligned with project needs

People Management training and coaching for managers

Drive the completion of Performance and Development reviews

Negotiate transfer terms to deliver on resourcing needs

About You

Degree qualified in Business, Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or related discipline qualification

Minimum 8 years experience in generalist operational HR function within an engineering or construction environment, with oversight of at least 300 employees (salaries and wages)

Demonstrated experience initiating and driving leading edge HR initiatives and supporting client group through periods of organisational change

Ensuring business compliance with relevant employment and OHS legislation
