We are looking for a Registered Midwife to join our team at RPAH!

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Join our team of supportive midwives caring for women with complex pregnancies. In this role, you will work in a collaborative, women-centred environment focused on providing high-quality, individualised care, with professional development strongly encouraged and supported. In this role, you will work in a dynamic High-Risk Antenatal Ward environment, primarily caring for women throughout their antenatal journey, while also providing care to postnatal women and their babies.

The Registered Midwife is responsible for the provision of woman centred; evidence- based midwifery care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Midwife will assess, plan, implement and evaluate midwifery care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team

Ideal Candidate

  • Current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work a rotating roster including day and night shifts.
  • Experience in all areas of maternity with a passion for high-risk antenatal care.
