What you'll be doing

As a Visiting Medical Officer in Rheumatology, you will provide contemporary, comprehensive specialist rheumatology services that are evidence based, patient centred and focused on achieving optimal health outcomes for the communities served by Griffith Base Hospital and the broader Murrumbidgee region.

Working within a multidisciplinary team environment, you will deliver high quality clinical care, collaborate with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues, and contribute to the supervision and education of junior medical officers and other healthcare professionals. You will actively participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management activities while supporting the ongoing development of specialist services across the District.

This position offers an opportunity to practise a broad scope of rheumatology in a modern regional healthcare setting, providing vital specialist care closer to home for patients across regional New South Wales.

Griffith Base Hospital is a contemporary regional referral facility serving Griffith and surrounding communities across the Murrumbidgee region. Following a significant redevelopment, the hospital provides a wide range of specialist services including emergency medicine, critical care, general medicine, surgery, paediatrics, oncology, obstetrics, respiratory medicine, renal dialysis, rehabilitation and Hospital in the Home services.
