What's the role?

As a Manager, Second Line Assurance, you'll be part of our Assurance Financial Crime team, providing independent assurance across key financial crime risk areas. You'll assess controls, governance and processes that help protect Westpac, while working with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver meaningful insights and practical recommendations.

You'll have the opportunity to contribute to enterprise-wide assurance reviews, explore emerging regulatory developments and work on complex risk challenges that have a real impact. It's a role where curiosity, critical thinking and strong stakeholder engagement will help you thrive.

Location: Sydney
Work type: Permanent full time, hybrid working arrangement

What do I need?

  • Experience in assurance, audit, risk or compliance, ideally within financial services or Experience in assurance, audit, risk or compliance, ideally within financial services or professional services.
  • Strong understanding of financial crime risk, regulatory obligations and control frameworks.
  • Ability to assess control effectiveness and identify meaningful risk insights.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Experience using data analytics or technology enabled testing to support assurance activities.
