About the Role
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of capital projects, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual, regulatory, and client requirements.
Acting as the primary interface between UGL and Chevron management teams, you will oversee project planning, execution, financial performance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and compliance activities while driving operational excellence and value for money.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for UGL project activities on site
- Lead project delivery to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and commercial objectives are achieved
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with client representatives, site teams, and subcontractors
- Mentor, coach, and develop project teams to achieve exceptional performance
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives through UGL's Centre of Excellence
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, estimates, and financial reporting
Promoting a proactive and positive safety environment by championing UGL's One HSE culture
- Monitor KPI performance and implement corrective actions where required
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, statutory regulations, and company procedures
- Oversee risk management, audits, compliance reviews, and non-conformance resolution
- Support industrial relations matters and contribute to a positive workplace culture
- Prepare and present monthly performance and project reports to stakeholders
Qualifications:
- Relevant Trade Qualification and/or Tertiary Qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in a senior project leadership role
- Strong background delivering projects within construction, maintenance, resources, infrastructure, or energy environments
- Proven experience managing budgets, commercial performance, and project financials
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and contractors
- Strong stakeholder and client relationship management skills
- Advanced reporting, planning, and project management capabilities
- High level proficiency across Microsoft Office Suite
