Leading Hand Security Technician
Are you an experienced Security Technician ready to step into a leadership role while staying hands-on in the field?
We are seeking a Leading Hand Security Technician to join our UGL UQ Facilities Maintenance team, responsible for maintaining one of Queensland's largest electronic security environments.
You'll lead a small team delivering maintenance, repairs and minor works across a diverse range of security technologies including:
CCTV Systems
Gallagher Access Control Systems
Emergency Call Point (ECP) Systems
Intrusion Detection Systems
Duress Alarm Systems
Security Communications Infrastructure
The UQ security network includes more than 800 CCTV cameras and a large campus-wide electronic security footprint, providing a challenging and rewarding environment for an experienced technician.
What you'll do
Lead and mentor a team of security technicians.
Perform advanced fault finding and repairs.
Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance.
Coordinate minor works and system upgrades.
Liaise directly with university stakeholders.
Maintain safety, quality and compliance standards.
About You
Security Equipment Installer Licence
Open Cabling Registration
Current Driver Licence
White Card
Experience with CCTV, Access Control and Intrusion Systems
Previous leadership or senior technician experience
Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
Highly Regarded
Gallagher Command Centre experience
Gallagher Access Control certification
Vivotek VAST 2 experience
Security Adviser Licence
Electrical trade background
