About the Role
VU TAFE is seeking a motivated and industry-experienced Teacher - Early Childhood to join the Early Childhood and Community Services Department.
In this rewarding role, you will inspire and support students to develop the practical skills, knowledge, and professional capabilities required to succeed in the early childhood sector. You will deliver engaging training and assessment across a range of learning environments, ensuring students receive a contemporary and industry-aligned learning experience.
Position Key Duties
- Facilitate learning and establish educational and assessment strategies to suit a range of student, client needs and industry contexts
Building and maintaining productive relationships with current and prospective industry partners.
Ensuring teaching, assessment, and student outcomes align with quality and ASQA, VRQA and HESG compliance standards
Research, develop and customise learning materials suitable for a range of teaching and learning settings that that enhance student success and industry engagement.
Position Details
Salary:$93,058 per annum (pro-rata)- $117,998 per annum (pro-rata)
Employment Type: Ongoing
Hours:30.4 hours per week (0.8 FTE)
Location: Footscray Nicholson

About You
Our teaching team is looking for someone with:
- Training and Assessment qualification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or (TAE40116) or (TAE40110)
- Current Employee Working with Children Check or be able to obtain
- Capability to facilitate learning and assessment in a variety of settings relevant to contemporary VET practice including campus and enterprise-based delivery, online learning, or international education. Within the requirements of compliance procedures of ASQA, VRQA and HESG.
- Extensive early childhood industry experience (minimum 5 years)
- Excellent communication skills and "can do" attitude
- A Victorian Drivers licence and access to a vehicle to complete student workplace assessment visits
The University is a Child Safe organisation.You willbe requiredto hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain one prior tocommencingemployment
