Lead change with compassion
Join our team of 2000+ people making a positive difference to over 15,000 older Victorians through aged care services. As a respected not-for-profit organisation, we're transforming the experience of ageing through collaboration, new ideas and investment in people and services.
The Role
Benetas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our People, Culture and Diversity team as Clinical Education Lead on a full time, fixed term contract to 31 December 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the implementation of a competency assessment framework across 13 aged care homes and our Community Health and Care teams. You will play a key role in strengthening clinical capability, supporting consistent practice and helping ensure our people are equipped to deliver safe, high-quality and person-centred care.
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of Benetas' competency assessment rollout across 13 aged care homes and our Community Health and Care team.
- Review competency requirements and identify appropriate education, assessment methods, tools and supporting resources.
- Develop a practical implementation plan, including project milestones, dependencies, risks, stakeholder responsibilities and reporting requirements.
- Implement a train-the-trainer approach to build capability among nominated clinical leaders.
- Work with clinical and operational stakeholders to understand education needs and ensure solutions are relevant to different site contexts.
- Develop or coordinate the development of facilitator guides, assessment tools, learning resources, work instructions and supporting documentation.
- Support clinical education initiatives, including Learning Needs Analysis, site learning plans, clinical forums, communities of practice and toolbox resources.
- Contribute to the coordination of relevant clinical programs, including Transition to Practice and Infection Prevention and Control Lead programs.
This is a hands-on, site-based role that requires regular travel across our network. You will be working primarily in our aged care homes and our remote staff, partnering directly with clinical teams, educators and managers to embed effective competency assessment practices.
About you
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, drivers licence and car, and willingness to travel regularly
- Significant experience in aged care clinical practice, clinical education, professional development or a related area
- Demonstrated experience designing, coordinating or implementing competency assessment frameworks, education programs or capability initiatives and in developing practical assessment tools, learning resources and education documentation
- Experience using a train-the-trainer or similar capability-building approach
- The ability to translate clinical, legislative, regulatory and organisational requirements into clear and practical education solutions.
- Highly developed communication, facilitation, coaching and influencing skills
