Job Description
The Central Resource Unit is seeking experienced and motivated Casual Registered Nurses to join our Day Surgery (DOSA) team. This is an excellent opportunity to work across a dynamic and fast-paced perioperative environment. You would primarily be based across our Richmond and Freemasons sites with the opportunity to expand to additional locations including Eastern, Hawthorn and Geelong if desired.
About the Role:
In this role, you will rotate across key areas of the Day Surgery unit, including:
- Admissions
- Holding Bay
- Second Stage Recovery

To be successful in this role...
You are a Registered Nurse who naturally demonstrates compassion and empathy with patient-centered care at the core of your practice. With a solutions-focused mindset, you prioritise the patient's needs in every decision you make and you enjoy working collaboratively with your team. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to adapt easily and work in a fast-paced environment.
You will have:
- Minimum of 12 months of relevant DOSA experience in a busy, acute hospital
- Experience in admissions and discharges in an acute surgical area
- Flexibility to work across more than one location. Those who can work across different roles are highly regarded
- Ability to work Monday to Friday AM and PM shifts
- Ability to work on average a minimum of two shifts per week
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse AHPRA registration
