Senior Risk & Incident Analyst

Your New Role
The Senior Risk & Incident Analyst will play a key role in ensuring incidents are managed in accordance with the Fund's Risk Management Framework, policies and procedures.
They will:
- Provide oversight and advice to stakeholders on appropriateness of incident related matters;
- Ensure relevant legislative and organisational requirements around incident management are understood and met;
- Identify proactive risk reduction activity, control enhancements and/or new control development around incidents.
This role will be the first touchpoint within AustralianSuper for all incidents for Member Operations (Specifically Insurance Operations and Claims) and is responsible for reviewing information received and performing closure activities.
This role may also be responsible for assigning the incident to an owner and ensuring the various business and regulatory requirements that are triggered around our incident management practices, including minimising impact to our members by fast and appropriate management, ensuring regulatory incidents are managed in a timely manner and if required reporting timelines are triggered.
This is a maximum 12-month contract based in either Melbourne or Sydney.
What You'll Need
- Strong incident management experience, preferably gained in a Financial Services organisation experience within superannuation, financial services or business environments;
- Demonstrated knowledge of risk and compliance frameworks;
- Strong ability to perform thorough assessments and make sound decisions around escalation requirements;
- Demonstrated ability to understand and translate external regulatory requirements to shape business outcomes;
- Strong communication/presentation/reporting skills and ability to influence;
- An ability to analyse trends, diagnose problems and issues and then recommend actions dealing with underlying root causes;
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously and prioritise work accordingly;
- Experience in developing relationships with key stakeholders from a variety of levels;
- Hold an accreditation in Risk Management from a recognised body like Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA) or Governance Institute of Australia (GIA), or be willing to obtain one after joining AustralianSuper;
- Tertiary Qualified in financial services, superannuation or risk management an advantage.
