About the role

This role combines MR manual truck driving with handson concrete labouring. You'll be part of a crew that works together to maintain and repair Parramatta's roads and civil infrastructure.

What you will be doing

• Helping place and finish concrete across Parramatta: real, handson work where you can see the results of your effort every day.
• Using a range of hand and power tools to set up formwork, prepare sites and support the crew with daytoday concrete operations.
• Operating plant and machinery to carry out concrete placement, compaction and finishing, with training provided if needed.
• Driving and operating trucks to load and unload materials, tools and equipment for the civil maintenance team.
• Working as part of a tightknit crew, following instructions and completing concrete pours safely, smoothly and on time.
• Assisting with excavation and general site prep to keep each job running efficiently.

What's on offer

We offer a competitive salary from $68,446 to $75,372 plus 12% superannuation.

This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Allowance.

About you

We are looking for individuals who are reliable and adaptable, people who can roll with changing priorities and step up to help the crew whenever it's needed.

You will also bring:

• Experience in Civil Works such as concrete placement and finishing
• Ability to drive MR manual transmission trucks/ vehicles safely
• Be collaborative with other teams and operational areas to provide assistance when needed.

You must also have the Licences:

• MR Truck License
• White Card
• Traffic Control (Desirable)
