We need someone to keep our MSP marketing engine running while we recruit for the permanent role. This is a hands-on, defined-scope engagement: pick up what's already moving, keep it moving, and hand over clean.
NOTE: This is a 3 month initial contract.
What you'll cover
- Run the MSP expansion programmes end to end - webinars, quick-fire email campaigns, local events, tech days. The calendar and formats already exist; you own planning, promotion, delivery, follow-up, and getting attendee and respondent lists to sales fast enough to matter.
- Partner with sales on expansion plays for the existing MSP base - cross-sell campaign support, event follow-up, and the materials sales needs to keep accounts moving.
- Sit in the regular sales cadence, take actions, close them. Sales should notice no drop in marketing support during the transition.
- Keep the existing campaign calendar moving - emails and nurture already in flight, content already commissioned. Improve where you can; don't rebuild.
- Report weekly on what ran, what it produced, and what needs a decision.
- Maintain a running handover document from day one, so whoever takes this on permanently starts warm.
What you'll bring
- 4-6 years in B2B marketing, ideally IT, software, or channel businesses, with hands-on experience running webinars, email campaigns, and local events. You know a webinar platform, a marketing automation tool, and a CRM without being shown, and you're as comfortable on the ground at an event as behind a screen.
- Fluency with sales - this matters more than anything else here. You're at ease in a room of salespeople, you talk pipeline and accounts rather than impressions and clicks, you answer quickly, and you treat their deadlines as real. References who can vouch for this will carry weight.
- The ability to pick up a running programme fast and keep it moving - guided by a proper handover, not dependent on one.
- The professionalism to work to a defined scope. This engagement is about continuity, and it ends when the permanent team is in place.
