What you'll do:
This is an opportunity to play a key role in a growing team, providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers and overseeing the successful delivery of multidisciplinary mining projects from concept through to execution.
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will provide technical leadership while supporting project delivery across a diverse portfolio of mining projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading mechanical engineering design and project delivery activities
Providing technical direction and governance across project teams
Delivering studies, investigations, detailed design and asset improvement projects
Building and maintaining strong relationships with mining clients and stakeholders
Mentoring and developing mechanical engineers across the team
Reviewing and approving engineering deliverables
Supporting project planning, budgeting and commercial performance
Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across mechanical, civil, structural, electrical and process disciplines
Contributing to business development, proposals and client engagement activities
About you:
You will be an experienced consulting or owner-side engineer with strong mining industry knowledge and a passion for delivering practical engineering solutions.
Ideally, you'll bring:
13+ years of mechanical engineering experience
Proven experience delivering mining, minerals processing or heavy industrial projects
Strong knowledge of sustaining capital and brownfield project delivery
Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams
Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
Strong technical expertise across mechanical plant and equipment
Experience preparing and reviewing engineering documentation and design packages
Chartered Engineer status or working towards chartership
A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification
