As a Senior HSE Advisor, you'll be out on site working alongside supervisors, crews and project leaders to keep safety front of mind, support the team and help solve problems before they become incidents. You'll join a major renewable energy project from the ground up, with the backing of a permanent role and future opportunities across UGL's growing pipeline of renewable energy projects.

Why this role

  • Permanent role backed by UGL's strong pipeline of renewable energy projects across Australia.
  • Work for a Tier 1 contractor with a proven track record delivering complex energy infrastructure.
  • Build your career across future battery, wind, solar and power projects.

About the role

This is a hands-on, site-based role for someone who enjoys being out in the field, building relationships and working closely with operational teams. You'll act as a trusted safety partner across the project, helping leaders manage risk, supporting frontline crews and driving positive safety outcomes.

You'll also play a key role in investigations, audits, safety initiatives and continuous improvement activities across a complex construction environment. Working closely with the HSE Manager and project leadership team, you'll help ensure safety remains at the centre of everything we do.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide practical safety support and guidance across all site activities.
  • Partner with supervisors, contractors and project leaders to manage risk and improve safety performance.
  • Coach and mentor frontline teams to strengthen safety culture and accountability.
  • Lead investigations, inspections, audits and risk reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support compliance with project, client and legislative requirements while driving continuous improvement across the site.

  • Discounted Medibank health insurance.
  • Participate in our Wellness Program with AIA Vitality.
  • 16 weeks paid primary parental leave.
  • Complimentary salary continuance insurance.
  • Development opportunities supported by Individual Development Plans.
  • The opportunity to contribute to some of Australia's most significant energy infrastructure projects.

About you

  • Experience as a Senior HSE Advisor in renewable energy projects.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to positively influence people at all levels.
  • Experience leading investigations, managing risk and driving safety improvement initiatives.
  • Relevant workplace health and safety qualifications.
  • A practical, down-to-earth approach to safety and a genuine passion for supporting people in the field.
  • Comfortable working in a site-based FIFO/DIDO environment.
