Your future role
We have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Telephony/EHP/Voice & Data Logger Lead to join our team responsible for the delivery of the Suburban Rail Loop East (SRLE) project in Melbourne, Victoria. This transformational project will comprise of approximately 26 km of twin-bored tunnels from Cheltenham to Box Hill, six new underground stations at Cheltenham, Clayton, Monash, Glen Waverley, Burwood and Box Hill and a train stabling and maintenance facility at Heatherton. Take on a new challenge and put your Telephony/EHP/Voice & Data Logger expertise to good use in the delivery of this state-of-the-art transportation project. You will work with a collaborative, dynamic and committed team, and you will play a key role in ensuring that the project complies with customer and design requirements, while meeting quality, cost and deadline objectives.
Responsible for leading the design for the Telephony/EHP/Voice & Data Logger Systems for the Suburban Rail Loop (SRL), you will also;
- Understand customer requirements and project context
- Manage the offshore (Bangalore, India) Telephony/EHP/Voice & Data Logger team
- Participate in the design workshops with customer and work towards getting approval as per the project key milestones
- Day to day responsibilities include preparation of Design documents, interacting with vendors for various Telephony, EHP and Voice & Data Logger sub-systems.
- Working closely with all stakeholders like PrEM, Interface Manager, other Work Packages, Etc.
- Designing of Telephony/EHP/Voice & Data Logger systems.
- Participate in technical workshop with customer.
- Interface with OEMs.
- Close design documents with customers.
- Supervise and support the T&C team.
About you
To be successful in this role you will ideally have;
- Effective communication skills with the ability to engage, influence and manage stakeholders across all levels.
- An agile and proactive approach, with the demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Aptitude to understand customer requirements and translating it to Architecture & Design documents to meet the project deadlines with minimum iterations.
- Significant relevant experience in rail Telecom domain or IT/Telecom industry as independent contributor.
- Experience in designing various Telecom sub-systems to meet customer's design, operational and functional requirements.
- Experience and knowledge of developing various interfaces of Telecom with other systems like PAS, PIDS, MCS, Telephony.
