About US
UniSuper is a place where brilliant thinkers and passionate people come together. As one of Australia's largest super funds, the work you'll do with us makes a meaningful difference today and tomorrow for our members, the planet and for you.

Our Service & Experience division is recognised for performance excellence and for shaping the future of retirement for our members every day. As we continue to grow, so do the opportunities for you to challenge yourself, develop new skills, and make a real impact. Within this role your ideas are valued, your ambition is celebrated and your work genuinely matters.

The Role
We're introducing Product Owners as part of a new way of working at UniSuper, creating long-term ownership of member and business outcomes rather than delivering change through individual projects. As our Product Owner, Service & Experience, you'll play a key role in helping shape this approach while driving meaningful improvements across our member and operational experiences.

Working at the intersection of business, customer experience, technology and delivery, you'll help determine what matters most, where effort should be directed, and how we measure success. You'll partner closely with business stakeholders, operational teams and technology teams to identify opportunities, prioritise work, and ensure resources are focused on initiatives that deliver the greatest value for our members and the business.

This is a role for someone who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity. You'll balance competing priorities, make informed trade-off decisions, and use customer insights, operational data and business feedback to continuously improve outcomes. Rather than simply delivering projects, you'll help shape and progress a roadmap of work that supports our long-term strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying and prioritising opportunities to improve member and operational outcomes.
  • Translating strategic objectives into clear, actionable priorities for delivery teams.
  • Managing and refining a roadmap and backlog of initiatives aligned to business outcomes.
  • Partnering with business, technology, risk and operational stakeholders to drive progress.
  • Using customer feedback, operational insights and data to inform decision making.
  • Defining success measures and evaluating whether initiatives are delivering the intended benefits.
  • Supporting a culture of continuous improvement, learning and adaptation.

About You
You're passionate about improving customer experiences, solving complex business challenges and creating meaningful outcomes. You understand how customer, operational and business needs come together, and you're comfortable balancing competing priorities to ensure effort is focused on the work that will deliver the greatest impact.

You've worked closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritise initiatives and drive improvements that deliver tangible outcomes for customers and the organisation. You're comfortable operating in complexity, influencing decision-making and bringing clarity when there are competing priorities and no obvious answer.

You'll bring:

  • Experience driving business, customer or operational outcomes within a complex environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, align and build momentum across diverse groups.
  • Demonstrated experience balancing competing priorities and making informed trade-off decisions.
  • A customer, member or user-focused mindset, with a passion for improving experiences and outcomes.
  • Experience working across business and technology teams to deliver meaningful change.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability, using evidence and insight to inform direction.
  • Exposure to agile, iterative or continuous improvement ways of working.
  • Experience within a complex or regulated industry will be highly regarded.

Most importantly, you're someone who can connect customer needs, business priorities and delivery outcomes, bringing people together around a shared objective and helping teams focus on the work that will create the greatest value.
