About the Role

The Senior Specialist Dietitian in Complex Paediatric Feeding is a key clinical leadership position within Nutrition & Dietetics across Sydney Local Health District (SLHD).

The position is responsible for providing high quality dietetic services to families, infants and children referred to the SLHD Complex Paediatric Feeding Clinic as well as act as a consultant and advanced clinical expert and to provide nutrition care, education, counselling and nutrition support to families, infants and children within the areas of paediatric feeding and feeding challenges, including enteral feeding where relevant and children with elements of disordered eating e.g. ARFID and food refusal/limitations which can relate and interact with their feeding issues.

The position provides leadership across SLHD in the areas of quality assurance, teaching, service development and research.

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently holds a Bachelor or post graduate degree in Dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia, and a current NSW driver licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
  • Has extensive experience and demonstrated ability in building and maintaining professional and therapeutic relationships through the application of written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of paediatric nutrition management and feeding support, including enteral feeding management.
