Channel Acquisition Manager
The Channel Acquisition Manager is responsible for identifying, recruiting, onboarding, and activating new channel partners and/or distributors across Australia to accelerate growth of the Vocus Pure Partner Program.
Working closely with Channel Managers, Sales Leadership, Product, Marketing and Commercial teams, the role plays a critical part in expanding Vocus's indirect sales footprint and increasing market coverage across the SMB, Mid-Market and Enterprise segments.
The successful candidate will be highly networked within the Australian ICT and telecommunications community, possess strong business development skills, and be comfortable engaging business owners, executives and sales leaders to create mutually beneficial partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect and recruit new partners aligned to the Vocus Pure growth strategy
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective channel partners across strategic market segments
- Conduct outreach activities including meetings, presentations, events and networking initiatives to generate partner interest
- Evaluate prospective partners against defined recruitment criteria including market reach, customer base, technical capability, sales maturity and cultural fit
- Position and promote the Vocus Pure value proposition to prospective partners
- Manage the transition from partner recruitment through to onboarding and activation
- Facilitate handover of newly recruited partners to Channel Management teams for ongoing relationship ownership
- Collaborate closely with Channel Managers, Sales Leaders, Product, Marketing and Commercial teams.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 7–10 years' experience in channel sales, channel development, business development or partner recruitment roles
- Telecommunications, ICT or technology industry experience is strongly preferred
- A strong track record of winning new business and exceeding targets
- Excellent prospecting, networking and relationship-building skills
- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to execution
- Strong pipeline management and forecasting discipline
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across a broader team.
