Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting

Your New Role
As Senior Manager, Regulatory Reporting, you will lead the Fund's existing and emerging regulatory reporting obligations, including APRA, ASIC, RG97, Payment Times Reporting and ESG regulatory disclosures. You will work with a team of subject matter experts to deliver a scalable, repeatable, technology-driven and best practice approach in a rapidly growing Fund.
Leading a team, you will provide strategic oversight of regulatory reporting, governance and financial control activities while fostering a high-performing, member-first culture. This role requires a collaborative leader who can navigate change, leverage data and technology, and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
Key duties include but are not limited to;
Manage the ongoing transition of APRA regulatory reporting to align to Superannuation Data Transformation requirements.
Oversee the Fund's ongoing regulatory reporting requirements, including reporting to APRA, ASIC, AMM notice requirements and Payment Times Reporting.
Oversee regulatory reporting, including compliance with applicable prudential standards and any regulatory reporting aspects of merger activity.
Lead governance, frameworks, risks, processes and controls as they relate to regulatory reporting.
Oversee technical accounting changes, accounting positions and policies, including preparing the Fund for ESG financial reporting requirements.
Prepare and present reporting to regulators, Boards and Committees, including the Finance & Audit Committee.
Actively manage key Financial Control and Regulatory Reporting third-party vendors and contractual relationships.
Drive continuous improvement through innovative use of technology, data and best-practice approaches to strengthen reporting processes and controls.
What You'll Need
Tertiary qualifications in a business or related field such as business, management, commerce, finance, accounting or economics.
Completion of CPA, ACA or postgraduate studies in finance.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience developing high-performing teams.
Senior-level APRA experience and prior experience in regulatory reporting.
Prior experience in the financial services industry, with superannuation experience highly regarded.
Experience translating legislative and compliance obligations into business processes.
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas, perspectives and issues to management.
Developed stakeholder relationship skills, including the ability to work effectively with people at all levels across the Fund, regulators and industry associations.
Advanced analytical skills, high attention to detail and the ability to review, challenge and add value.
Experience with regulatory technology and software, process changes or system transitions will be highly regarded.
