Partof The Kids Research Institute Australia,CliniKids combines world-leading autism research with high-quality clinicalcare, giving you the opportunity to work alongside experienced psychologists,occupational therapists and speech pathologists in modern, purpose-builtfacilities while translating cutting-edge research into real-world practice.
Some of your key responsibilitieswill include:

Clinical

  • Deliver evidence-based early intervention supports for young children with autism and developmental delay across clinic and community settings.
  • Conduct psychological assessments including interviews, behavioural observations and psychometric assessments to inform individualised therapy planning.
  • Work collaboratively with families, educators and a multidisciplinary team to support meaningful outcomes for children.
  • Contribute psychological expertise through case discussions, formulation, treatment planning, and education for parents, carers and other support partners.

Learning,Supervision and Research

  • Grow your clinical skills through structured individual and peer supervision, reflective practice and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Build specialised expertise in autism and child development while working within a research-informed clinical environment connected to leading autism research.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, collaboration and evidence-based practice.

Administration

  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and client records in line with established procedures and professional standards.
  • Work closely with a dedicated administrative team who support diary management and scheduling, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality clinical care.

Based in Subiaco andJoondalup, this is a full-time or part-time opportunity in an ongoing capacity.

AboutYou

This role is ideal for apsychologist who is passionate about early intervention and building meaningfulconnections with children and families. You'll bring strong clinical andinterpersonal skills, a collaborative and reflective approach to therapy, and agenuine desire to continue developing your expertise within a supportive,research-informed environment.

Ideallyyou will have:

  • Clinical experience and passion for working with young children and families with autism or developmental delay, with strong knowledge of autism and its impact on individuals and systems.
  • Understanding and application of evidence-based autism interventions, with sound knowledge of a range of evidence-based approaches.
  • Demonstrated skills in psychological assessment, therapy and interview techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with colleagues, clients, families and key stakeholders, with proven success engaging both teams and families in therapy.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, upholding ethical standards, demonstrating a strong work ethic, and being flexible to work across both Subiaco and Joondalup sites
  • Familiarity with National Guidelines for supporting autistic children in Australia.
  • Current full AHPRA registration as a psychologist, with WWCC, Medicare provider number and NDIA provider eligibility, a valid driver's licence, and a cleared criminal record screening.

Desirable:

  • Experience in being a keyworker/key contact for families.
  • Experience delivering NDIS funded supports
  • Minimum three years clinical experience in autism early intervention
  • Board approved supervisor, Psychology Board of Australia.
