THE POSITION:
The Recruitment Officer is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end recruitment process, while partnering with hiring managers to attract and secure quality talent. The role ensures a positive candidate experience, maintains recruitment systems and processes, and supports the organisation's workforce needs through effective and compliant hiring practices.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
- This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 35 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed in advance with your supervisor.
- This position does not require you to wear a compulsory uniform, however you must follow the dress code requirements within the AlburyCity's Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely.
- This position involves working in a predominantly indoor environment and using a computer is considered a core component of the role. There may be occasional visits to other work locations. The position requires an average level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake occasional physical activities, such as walking and lifting, along with general manual handling tasks as part of a normal working environment. A medical declaration is required for this position.
- This position requires evidence of a current NSW Working with Children's Check.
- This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing.
- This position is located at the AlburyCity Administration Building, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury with occasional visits to external sites/depots as required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Diploma in Human Resources/Business Management or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Class C (Standard) Driver's Licence
EXPERIENCE:
- Relevant experience working in a Recruitment or Human Resources environment delivering a professional service in a broad range of Recruitment or Human Resources functions
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Demonstrated practical understanding of;
- Recruitment or Human Resources management and functions
- Critical thinking, evaluation and analytical skills
- High level of computer literacy in the use of a variety of software applications including MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and HRIS systems
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process, including advertising vacant roles, scheduling interviews coordinating compliance checks, and preparing letters of offer.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships with key internal stakeholders and provide guidance and advice to hiring managers on best practice, policies and procedures.
- Manage candidate communications throughout the recruitment process, ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience.
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns in conjunction with the Talent Acquisition Partner and key internal stakeholders, such as the Communications team
- Support the coordination of the preboarding and onboarding process for new employees.
- Maintain accurate records within AlburyCity's HRIS.
- Develop and maintain talent pools for current and future workforce needs.
- Ensure recruitment activities comply with relevant legislation, equal employment opportunity principles and Council policies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of relevant procedures, guidelines and frameworks.
- Collate, analyse and present statistical data from various databases.
- Maintain the position hierarchy and associated position details within AlburyCity's HRIS system
- Contribute to broader People and Culture related initiatives as required.
- Promote and contribute to a positive workplace environment. This will include providing accurate and timely advice to management and staff on employment related matters.
- Participate in and actively contribute to continuous improvement and change management.
- Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
- Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
