THE POSITION:
This position is responsible for effectively contributing to the implementation of the Albury Wodonga Destination Management Plan and all associated activities. Including coordinating and delivering a broad range of destination marketing activities that maximises the return on AlburyCity's investment. The position is also responsible for relevant visitor economy based business relationship building activities.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
- Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
- This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 35 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed with your supervisor.
- This position does not require you to wear a compulsory uniform, however you must follow the dress code requirements within the AlburyCity's Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely.
- This position involves working in a predominantly indoor environment and using a computer is considered a core component of the role. There may be occasional visits to other work locations. The position requires an average level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake occasional physical activities, such as walking and lifting, along with general manual handling tasks as part of a normal working environment. A medical declaration is required for this position.
- This position requires evidence of a current Australian National Police Check.
- This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing
- This position is located at the AlburyCity Administration Building, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury with occasional visits to external sites/depots as required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Public Relations, Tourism or other related fields or equivalent relevant work experience.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in marketing and tourism or business development.
- Experience in developing marketing strategy and implementing integrated campaign activity
- Experience in sales and customer relationships
- Class C Driver's Licence
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
High level skills in:
- destination marketing
- project management and coordination
- production of high quality marketing content
- digital marketing and ability to write and publish web and social media content.
- Proven research and evaluation skills and knowledge of Google Analytics and Meta Analytics
- Experience in the use of content management systems, electronic direct mail systems and Adobe Creative Suite
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the Team Leader in the implementation of the Destination Management Plan in cooperation with other key staff.
- Work with the internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement annual marketing tactical activities for all campaigns, both on and off-line for Visit Albury Wodonga.
- Evaluate and report on marketing activity against agreed objectives.
- Monitor budget allocations.
- Support operational and organisational strategy development and planning including all administrative support for all tourism activity.
- Ensure effective content development and management for social media, digital advertising and collateral development.
- Support the Visitor Information Centre team as required to maintain and update the Visit Albury Wodonga website and social media platforms.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry, groups, and organisations including the City of Wodonga.
- Coordinate and facilitate industry development, Tourism Partner Forums, meetings, industry eDM distribution and familiarisations to ensure the success and appropriate and effective communication of information and activities.
- Support and assist in the formulation of bid documents for business events and other tourism related activities.
- Keep abreast of industry, regional and state tourism plans, strategies, policies and best practice.
- Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training.
- Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS.
