Job Details
The Product Owner / Lead Business Analyst will ensure digital product initiatives are strategically aligned to the Department's aged care service vision, supported by robust evidence and business analysis, and designed to deliver measurable improvements in user, business and service delivery outcomes. The role will provide leadership across analysis and stakeholder engagement activities while fostering alignment between product strategy, business architecture, change initiatives and reform objectives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the alignment of digital products, service enhancements and business initiatives with organisational strategy, enterprise architecture and future-state operating models to drive sustainable business outcomes and value realisation.
- Define, monitor and drive business outcomes, benefits realisation and performance measures to support evidence-based decision-making and investment prioritisation.
- Lead business analysis activities across complex transformation programs, ensuring quality delivery, effective planning and adherence to best practice methodologies.
- Provide guidance, coaching and mentoring to business analysts to build capability and promote consistent, high-quality analysis practices.
- Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across business, policy, operational, architecture and delivery teams to achieve alignment, build consensus and support informed decision-making.
- Facilitate workshops and consultation activities to elicit, validate and manage business requirements and stakeholder needs.
- Analyse complex business challenges, identify opportunities for improvement and develop practical, evidence-based recommendations and solutions.
- Balance strategic objectives, operational requirements and user needs when designing and implementing business solutions.
- Contribute to program governance, planning and assurance activities to support successful delivery outcomes.
- Provide expert advice on business design, process improvement and change impacts within complex transformation environments.
- Apply knowledge of government governance, policy and service delivery frameworks to support reform initiatives and organisational change.

The Business Design Delivery Section provide business design, analysis and delivery support services that ensure initiatives are strategically aligned, clearly defined, and positioned for successful implementation. - Experience with the Aged Care digital ecosystem will be considered as highly desirable.
