The Role
We're seeking a Shift Electrical Technician to help keep critical airport facilities safe, reliable, and operating efficiently around the clock. Working within a major aviation environment, you'll deliver preventative and reactive electrical maintenance while supporting operational continuity and rapid incident response.
This is a permanent full-time shift role supporting essential airport infrastructure and electrical assets. Working on a shift roster, you'll perform both preventative and corrective maintenance activities, respond to faults and breakdowns, and ensure continuity of critical services across site. You'll work closely with Facilities Managers, the FM Hub, and other trades to ensure electrical services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual and compliance requirements.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver preventative and corrective maintenance across electrical systems and site assets
- Diagnose electrical faults and complete repairs to restore asset functionality
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with job plans, standards, and contractual requirements
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns within required response times
- Attend and resolve urgent and critical electrical faults, ensuring assets are made safe
- Support emergency response activities and critical incident management
- Complete work orders accurately within CMMS systems, including time, materials, and completion details
- Ensure works are correctly categorised, documented, and closed out in line with requirements
- Support accurate data capture to enable reporting and billing
- Support minor works, replacements, electrical upgrades, and asset improvement activities
- Follow safe systems of work including permits, isolation procedures, SWMS, and site-specific safety requirements
- Identify recurring faults and contribute to root cause analysis and long-term asset improvements
- Work collaboratively with Facilities Managers, FM Hub Coordinators, subcontractors, and other trades to minimise disruption to operations
- Participate in shift handovers, operational briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support continuity of critical services across a high-profile airport environment
Your Education, Experience & Skills
- Trade qualification as a Licensed Electrician
- Current Electrical Licence relevant to the jurisdiction
- Demonstrated experience maintaining electrical systems within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure environments
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience with preventative and corrective maintenance practices
- Experience using CMMS systems such as Maximo, or similar work order management platforms
- Sound understanding of WHS requirements, electrical safety standards, and compliance obligations
- Ability to work effectively within a shift-based roster, including nights, weekends, and on-call requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment with competing priorities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in aviation, transport, or critical infrastructure environments highly regarded
- ASIC Clearance desirable
- Full working rights in Australia essential
