Working within a trauma-informed practice framework, you will build strong community connections, facilitate carer training, conduct assessments, ensure compliance requirements are met, and support carers to provide safe, nurturing and therapeutic environments for vulnerable children and young people. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional with strong relationship-building, assessment and training skills who is committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and foster care families. This is a Full-Time position (38hrs) that is based in Warrnambool within our Victorian Carer Recruitment and Development Team. This position report to the Carer Recruitment and Development Co-Ordinator. Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will have: Relevant qualification in Social Work, Community Services, Welfare, Children's Services or a related field. Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and the ability to support, assess and develop foster carers. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders. Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain accurate administrative records. Commitment to child safety, cultural awareness, and delivering positive outcomes for children, young people and foster care families. Experience facilitating training, workshops or group learning sessions, with the ability to build confidence and capability in carers.
