What You'll Do

As a Pallet Controller, you will oversee and ensure the accuracy of hired equipment processes and data across our Prospect sites by working closely with Operations and Inventory Management teams. You will be responsible for auditing, reporting, reconciling and maintaining optimal pallet and equipment balances, as well as managing claims and corrections from trading partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, investigate and report instances of non-conformance in hired equipment processes.
  • Develop, review and comply with written procedures for the physical movement of hire equipment.
  • Audit procedures and records to ensure effectiveness and implement process improvements as needed.
  • Compile, reconcile and report on equipment hire and movements on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Investigate and action claims, rejections and corrections from trading partners and maintain historical account data.
  • Train operational and administrative associates on pallet procedures and perform general administration duties including daily auditing.
  • Liaise with stakeholders including transport companies and external pallet providers for reporting, reconciliation and regular meetings.
  • Other duties may be assigned as required.

What Experience and Education You Need

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in warehouse operations.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in stock management systems including 2IC and AS400 pallet control systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Current driver's licence and access to your own vehicle.

Physical Requirements

  • Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, reaching and/or bending.
  • Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work, including the operation of computers, telephones and similar equipment.
  • Requires ability to comprehend and communicate with others verbally and/or in writing.
  • May require travel by automobile and airplane for business.
  • May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing.
  • May require the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
