We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for Stantec's Community Development team in Wollongong. In this role you will manage the civil design and documentation for a variety of land, urban and subdivision projects in both the public and private sectors, across an extensive regional client portfolio. You will be involved in resolving design constraints, coordinating projects, interfacing with various disciplines and delivering projects with the support of a multi-disciplinary design team. You will be project managing all the design elements from concept through to delivery.

This role can be based in any of the following Stantec offices; St Leonards, Nowra or Wollongong.

Day to day tasks would involve:

  • Detailed design and coordination of land, urban and subdivision projects, from feasibility through to construction

  • Project management of design elements from concept through to delivery

  • Preparing technical reports and specifications

  • Providing technical expertise to clients and support projects

  • Manage projects including scheduling and the preparation of project budgets

  • Coordinating between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects

  • Undertaking and manage site inspections

  • Contributing to the development of Stantec's knowledge and skills in civil engineering including planning, design, and construction

  • Maintaining existing and developing new, trusted relationships with key clients

  • Assisting in the securing and delivery of projects by way of business development and client relationship management

What you will bring to the team

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering

  • Demonstrated experience in civil engineering design and the delivery of projects, ideally within urban, land and subdivisions

  • Experience and a sound understanding of current civil engineering technologies, including design, modelling and construction

  • Project management skills

  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills including report writing.
