About the opportunity

Are you looking for a rewarding career where you can make a positive difference behind the scenes in healthcare? HealthShare NSW is seeking dedicated and reliable Food Production Unit Assistants to join our team. You'll play an important role in supporting the delivery of nutritious meals to patients across NSW Health facilities.

In this non-patient-facing role, you will assist with the preparation and assembly of meals in accordance with patient dietary needs and nutritional requirements while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness. You will contribute to a safe and efficient food production environment by ensuring food handling practices comply with relevant policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Your duties will include meal preparation and assembly, picking and packing orders, recording stock intake and rotation, dishwashing and cleaning of equipment and food preparation areas, waste management, and providing general administrative support as required.
