The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.
On offer is an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist to join the dedicated team at Lithgow Hospital that also provides an outreach service to residents of Portland Tabulam Aged Care Facility.
As a Physiotherapist, you will deliver high-quality physiotherapy services to clients of Lithgow Health Service across a diverse range of clinical settings. The role encompasses assessment and treatment within outpatient and inpatient services, hydrotherapy, the plaster room, emergency presentations, and group-based programs.
You will be responsible for maintaining a professional and collaborative approach, ensuring effective communication with clients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. This includes supporting clients and their carers in planning for discharge and facilitating referrals to appropriate services when required. Participation in performance development processes will contribute to your ongoing professional growth and the achievement of service outcomes. You will actively engage in clinical supervision and undertake agreed activities to further develop your professional skills while delivering safe, high-quality patient care.

What you will bring to the role
- Degree in Physiotherapy with Current Authority to practice as a physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated ability to provide high quality clinical care across a range of clinical areas.
- Demonstrated effective written & verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Familiar with and/or prepared to gain skills in splinting, casting, and hydrotherapy.
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development, quality improvement and evidenced based practice.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritise and organise own work/ caseload.
- Current licence to drive in NSW with the ability to drive for work purposes.
