Job description:

Assist taxpayers to meet their legal obligations using your excellent communication skills and attention to detail. In this role you will assess applications for grants and tax concessions and rebates and assist taxpayers by telephone and in writing.

About You

Treasury is looking for a Client Services Officer to join our Revenue Branch to help collect Tasmanian taxes and manage grants.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your knowledge of administration of grants and taxation concessions and rebates.

You will be a motivated person with the ability to explain technical matters to others in plain English.

This role suits someone who has a high level of attention to detail and thrives in a fast paced, demand driven environment.

About the Branch

The Revenue Branch manages collection of taxation for the State. The branch administers a number of grants, determines taxation objections and ensures that taxpayers are compliant with State taxation and grant legislation.

Hours per fortnight

Up to 73.5 - hours flexible - talk to us about how this could work for you. We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours.

Desirable Requirements

A relevant qualification or equivalent experience.
