We are seeking an experienced and motivated person to lead business and process improvement initiatives as part of a dedicated Cemeteries Team. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with operational leaders, stakeholders, and technical experts to deliver sustainable improvements that enhance service delivery, governance, reporting, and customer experience. The Role Provide expert business process analysis and improvement capability to identify, assess, design and implement process improvements that support the Cemeteries team in delivering efficient, customer-focused services. Play a critical role in ensuring previously identified improvement actions are embedded and maintained while driving ongoing process optimisation across Council's cemeteries operations. This position requires flexibility on office work locations across Brisbane. In this role, you will: Lead and role model customer-focused behaviours by designing and improving processes with the customer experience at the centre provide expert business analysis support to identify, document and implement business,process and system improvements identify opportunities to automate manual processes, increase efficiency and reduce operational complexity translate business requirements and improvement outcomes into clear standard operating procedures, process maps, user guides and protocols participate in the planning, management and implementation of business improvement projects and initiatives. To be successful you will have: Demonstrated ability to contribute positively to team direction, achieve performance outcomes and support a culture of excellence. exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to consult, negotiate and influence a diverse range of stakeholders highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify business improvement opportunities and develop innovative solutions demonstrated experience developing high-quality process maps, business cases, options analyses, requirements documentation and testing scenarios experience gathering, analysing and documenting business requirements and translating them into actionable outcomes proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel skills and experience in using business intelligence and process improvement tools.
