  • Prescribe Schedule 4 and Schedule 8 medications in accordance with applicable Western Australian regulations and clinical requirements.
  • Apply sound clinical judgement and evidence-based, harm-reduction principles throughout patient consultations.
  • Manage approximately 4-6 consultations per hour while maintaining clinical quality, patient safety, and appropriate communication.
  • Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation and ensure all consultations comply with relevant privacy, regulatory, and medico-legal requirements.
  • Work closely with registered nurses and doctor support teams to streamline patient care and promote continuity of treatment.
  • Use digital healthcare platforms and technology efficiently to support clinical decision-making, documentation, and patient outcomes.
  • Remain punctual, responsive, and reliable while contributing positively to a collaborative remote clinical team.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to maintain high standards of clinical practice.

Requirements

  • Unrestricted registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Strong understanding of Western Australian prescribing regulations and demonstrated confidence managing Schedule 8 medications in a telehealth setting.
  • Strong clinical judgement and an evidence-based approach to patient care, including a commitment to harm reduction.
  • Ability to conduct focused 10-minute consultations efficiently while maintaining appropriate clinical standards and patient engagement.
  • Excellent time-management, organisational, documentation, and administrative skills.
  • Familiarity with privacy legislation, real-time prescription monitoring (RTPM), Schedule 8 requirements, and relevant medico-legal obligations.
  • Experience working across multiple digital platforms and confidence navigating technology in a digital-first healthcare environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with nurses, doctors, and support teams.
  • Strong commitment to patient care, safety, and continuity of care.
  • Punctual, dependable, and responsive approach to clinical responsibilities.
  • Availability to work late afternoons and evenings, with a preference for approximately 3pm-9pm Western Australian time and some flexibility to meet patient demand.

Benefits

  • Fully remote, work-from-home position for doctors based in Western Australia.
  • Consultation rate of $60 per consult, with an expected volume of approximately 4-6 consultations per hour.
  • Additional incentives available for increased availability.
  • Laptop provided to support your remote clinical work.
  • Dedicated registered nurse support, with RNs conducting initial patient consultations to streamline the doctor consultation process.
  • Ongoing guidance, support, and training from a dedicated Doctor Support Lead.
  • Access to an online education platform for continued professional development.
  • Support and payment for obtaining an authorised prescriber licence, including guidance throughout the application process.
  • Collaborative digital-first environment focused on accessible healthcare, patient outcomes, and continuity of care.
  • Commitment to a barrier-free recruitment and working environment, with reasonable accommodations available where required.
