Are you interested in Paediatric Nursing? It is an exciting time for you to join the child and adolescent team at Royal North Shore Hospital! You will be welcomed into a team offering a supportive fun environment who actively encourage staff to develop.

The Child and Adolescent unit is a level 4 unit consisting of a 20 bedded in patient ward, a short stay ward and outpatient clinics. We cater for children from 0-17 years who are admitted to the unit. Our main specialities include medical, surgical, orthopaedic, ENT, plastics and mental health. We are a welcoming team and offer a supportive fun environment to all staff joining the team. The senior nursing support team includes full time NUM, CNE, CNC and CNS 2's. The unit has a strong philosophy of quality improvement and family centred care. Royal North Shore Hospital has a positive culture and actively encourages staff to develop. Support is offered for research studies and post graduate qualifications.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Recent post registration relevant experience in acute paediatric nursing.
  3. Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
