About Ausloans Finance Group

Founded in 2009 and headquartered on the Gold Coast, Ausloans Finance Group is Australia's largest privately-owned finance brokerage, aggregation and Fintech business. We connect consumers and businesses with a panel of lenders to arrange finance for vehicles, equipment, marine, caravans and personal loans, combining broker expertise with our proprietary AI-powered platform, Zink, to make finance easy, transparent and stress-free. Our culture is built on accountability, integrity, honesty and a genuine passion for helping our clients and partners succeed.

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Compliance and Audit Officer to take a leading, hands-on role within our Risk & Compliance team on the Gold Coast. This is a mid-to-senior appointment for someone who can operate with autonomy - you'll manage escalated client complaints through our Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) process, provide day-to-day guidance and oversight to our compliance team, and be a trusted point of reference across internal audit, compliance monitoring and governance activities. It's a role for someone ready to bring sound judgement and real ownership to a fast-moving regulated business driven by technology.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage and resolve senior and escalated client complaints through our Internal Dispute Resolution (IDR) process.

  • Provide day-to-day guidance, oversight and mentoring to compliance juniors within the team.

  • Lead the delivery of compliance and internal audit activities across the business.

  • Conduct and oversee internal audits, control testing and loan file reviews, ensuring findings are robust and well-evidenced.

  • Own and maintain compliance registers, records and action plans, escalating material risks as they arise.

  • Review and update policies, procedures and compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate and drive monthly compliance monitoring activities and reporting.

  • Prepare audit working papers, findings and recommendations, and present these to key stakeholders.

  • Support and help facilitate Compliance Committee meetings and broader governance activities.

  • Coordinate compliance training programs and maintain training records across the business.

  • Lead engagement with external auditors and manage regulatory information requests.

  • Monitor regulatory developments, assess business impact and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Apply your capabilities within a highly-technology-focused environment.

You'll Thrive Here If You Have

  • Experience in compliance, audit, risk, governance or quality assurance, ideally in financial services or another regulated industry.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex or escalated client complaints, ideally through an IDR/EDR process.

  • Experience providing guidance, direction or mentoring to junior team members.

  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders.

  • Confidence owning policies, documentation and reporting with minimal oversight.

  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • High levels of integrity and accountability.

  • A relevant qualification in Business, Compliance, Risk or a related field is highly regarded.

What's on Offer

  • Full-time role based on the Gold Coast.

  • A high-trust role with genuine autonomy and influence over compliance outcomes.

  • The opportunity to build your career with Australia's largest privately-owned finance aggregator.

  • A supportive, values-driven team environment.
