The Role We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Undergraduate Electrical Engineer to join our Brisbane based engineering team on a Casual or vacation employment basis. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will gain exposure to the design and delivery of electrical systems for mineral processing projects while developing your technical skills and industry knowledge. This role provides the opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary teams and contribute to a range of engineering studies and projects. Key Duties Assist with the design and development of electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, communications and control systems Support engineers in preparing electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation Assist with engineering calculations including equipment sizing, load calculations and voltage drop assessments Contribute to technical studies, research activities and project investigations Work collaboratively with electrical engineers, designers and multidisciplinary project teams Participate in design reviews and project meetings Develop proficiency in engineering software and industry design tools Support the preparation of reports, presentations and project deliverables You Will Have Currently studying a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent Completed at least your second year of study Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment A genuine interest in mining, minerals processing and industrial projects Exposure to ETAP or other electrical engineering software is advantageous Here at DRA, We Offer Competitive remuneration Flexible work arrangements to support your studies Hands-on experience on real projects Exposure to experienced engineers and industry specialists Structured learning and development opportunities A collaborative and inclusive team culture Opportunity to progress into our Graduate Engineer Development Program upon completion of your degree We value diversity and the benefits it brings to achieving our objectives, enhancing our reputation, and attracting, engaging, and retaining talented people.
