Cape Fox subsidiary, Cape Fox Mission Systems, LLC is seeking a highly organized and motivated Personnel Assistant I to join our team in support of a federal government client. The Personnel Assistant I serves as the front-line Verifying Official (VO) at an Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) ID card site, delivering customer services. This position verifies identity and eligibility, issues and retrieves Common Access Cards (CAC) and Uniformed Services Identification (USID) cards, performs Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) updates and Personal Identification (PIN)/Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) resets, and maintains Real-Time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) equipment in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and Bureau of Naval Personnel Instruction (BUPERSINST) 1750.10E. This position is contingent upon award. Incumbents are encouraged to apply! The range (or hiring range) for this non-exempt position is: $33.42 - $35.27. The above range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Core Duties: Process and issue CACs per DoD regulations and Air Force Instruction (AFI) 36-3026; issue, control, and retrieve/destroy USID and non-CAC ID cards Serve as a VO on the specific terminal, ensuring accuracy and correctness of all input data Verify identity and eligibility of authorized DoD beneficiaries in accordance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS) 201-1 Perform card stock, equipment, and records accountability Perform customer services including PIN resets and verification/update of PKI certificates Provide effective face-to-face customer service (adaptability, empathy, de-escalation, composure) and acknowledge all customers promptly on arrival Assist customers with ID card eligibility, application requirements, and DEERS questions; answer telephone inquiries Return failed or retrieved CACs to Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) monthly; maintain RAPIDS equipment within installed parameters and perform user/printer maintenance Maintain positive control of RAPIDS workstations, safeguard Personally Identifiable Information (PII)/Privacy Act data, and secure card stock and consumables under lock Immediately notify security personnel of any unauthorized or unsafe acts and report suspected security violations Encourage customers to provide feedback via the government's customer feedback systemNo degree required Minimum one (1) year in a customer service environment Proficient in oral and written communication to explain complex actions regarding entitlements, allowances, and collections Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Working knowledge of computers, electric typewriters, copiers, fax machines, scanners, and other office automation systems to perform a substantial range of office automation support Working knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and military terminology used in office settings HR background in military personnel or DEERS/RAPIDS (private sector or federal agency experience acceptable) Expected to exercise discretion at all times; limited judgment may be necessary at times Must be a U.S. Citizenship Must be able to obtain/maintain a favorable Tier 3 investigation and DoD CAC Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986 Cape Fox Corporation, its subsidiaries, and affiliates provide equal employment opportunities to all persons and prohibit employment decisions on the basis of race, religion, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, disability, political affiliation, protected veteran status, or sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local law.
