About The Service

KU Yagoona Preschool operates Monday - Friday 8am-3:30pm during school terms and offers education and care for up to 20 children a day. Our playground is designed to maximise the use of the natural environment and allow children to play and explore as they would in their own backyard.

At KU Yagoona, we focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Young children are avid STEM investigators, eager to explore and invent. STEM learning gives a label to what we are already doing in our program - encouraging children to observe, ask questions and integrate their ideas.

About The Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic educator with a completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care qualification to join the KU Yagoona preschool team.

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday (7.6 hours per day).

About the criteria:

Along with relevant working knowledge of the Early Years Learning Frameworks (EYLF) and a sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law (2010) and the Education and Care Services National Regulations (2011), you will need:

  • To be available to work full time as above
  • Australian working rights
  • A current and valid NSW Working with Children Check
  • An ACECQA recognised Certificate III qualification
  • A National Child Safety Training Certificate
  • A completed training in Child Protection (CHCPRT025) and an understanding of the legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children

About You

  • You are committed to positively supporting children, families, and colleagues
  • You aspire to further your career in the sector
  • You want sector leading pay & benefits
  • You want to be recognised for your contributions
